No Dinner-Dinner

A sextuplet for dinner is really hard to choose.
So many egos, I'd really hate to bruise.
But, without limits of language, time or even border;
below are my dinner guests, in no particular order...
We begin with Jeff Daniels who strums a poignant tale.
Small town wisdom, that can jump, jive and whale.
Darwin looks hungry, he's been working on his book.
Knowing how the meal was made, doesn't diminish the cook.
Some meals however, seconds you would decline.
Thank-you Clive Staples, for remembering the wine.
Reggie's hitting clean-up, his steaks and job done.
He knew being a hero means actually acting as one.
Reagan was a cowboy, he liked his steaks quite rare;
for making us believe, our glasses...in the air.
The final guest was a cop, a father and a brother,
his courage, charm and loyalty was surpassed by no other.
While how he lived I know was worthy of a fable,
what I do not know however, is who sent him to this table.

Paintjam Dan Dunn

Give it 3-4 minutes. You will smile despite yourself.
